Today, Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo met with Singaporean Minister of Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong. The Secretary welcomed the news of Singapore’s transition to its fourth generation of political leadership. Secretary Raimondo and Minister Gan affirmed their commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation under the U.S.-Singapore Partnership for Growth and Innovation (PGI), and discussed the potential for collaboration to enhance semiconductor supply chain resilience and help Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises participate in the digital economy. The two also reaffirmed their strong support for the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) and the ongoing efforts to deliver concrete outcomes through the Framework, including at the upcoming IPEF Ministerial meeting and IPEF Clean Economy Investor Forum in Singapore on June 5-6.
