The Committee provided several recommendations in areas including: global standards for hydrogen production, labelling carbon content on U.S. energy-intensive products, building a resilient global clean energy supply chain, impact of the Advanced Manufacturing Production Credit in the Inflation Reduction Act on U.S. companies, support for workers in priority energy communities, clean energy supply chain constraints and dependencies, promoting development of virtual power plants in emerging markets, and support to accelerate clean energy investment and exports in island nations.

The Deputy Secretary recognized the importance of the Committee’s work, as it will inform Departmental priorities and efforts to advance the competitiveness of clean energy businesses and workers throughout the United States.

The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee has been rechartered for another two-year term beginning May 24, 2024.
