
Jeff Roberson is the Chief Counsel for the Economic Development Administration (EDA) and is responsible for providing legal support to EDA and the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development. This primarily involves providing legal advice related to the administration the bureau and the awarding of grants for economic development and enhancement of entrepreneurship and innovation under the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965, Trade Act of 1974, and Stevenson-Wydler Technology Innovation Act of 1980. Mr. Roberson previously helped establish the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council while serving as its acting General Counsel and was a senior attorney advisor in the Department of Commerce’s General Law, Federal Assistance Law and Real Property, Energy and Environmental Law Divisions.
Prior to his service with the Department of Commerce, he worked at the Environmental Protection Agency and on Capitol Hill. Mr. Roberson holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Washington. He is admitted to practice in Washington State and before the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
