Youth Summit 2.0

  • Youth Summit

The Department of Commerce Office of Faith-Based & Neighborhood Partnerships, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, will host an in-person, interactive Youth Summit in Washington, D.C., aimed at young people (ages 12-30) to engage and amplify opportunities for youth entrepreneurship, internships, apprenticeships, and other programs. Some parts of the Youth Summit will be recorded/live-streamed and made available online to those who cannot attend in person. Our objective is to celebrate our nation’s young people and facilitate key resources for them in partnership with federal agencies, businesses, faith leaders, and communities across the United States.

The goal of the summit is to:

  • Celebrate, Empower, & Include – The Youth Summit will aim to educate, connect, and celebrate opportunities for young people in the Washington, DC area. Federal agencies will share their programs, resources, technical assistance, training, mentorships/entrepreneurship, and opportunities for youths to explore.
  • Seat at the Table & Center of the Conversation – Provide our youths from underserved communities the opportunity to engage face-to-face with program leaders from across the federal government to share their most pressing concerns and needs.
  • Impact – Amplify the whole of government efforts to serve our young people from underserved communities better and to build momentum and enthusiasm on the ground to continue identifying, assessing, and executing place-based youth needs across the nation.
