Employee & Supervisor Responsibilities

Employee Responsibilities

  • File all forms in a timely manner
  • Follow all safety regulations, guides, and policies
  • Report all injuries promptly to your supervisor
  • Provide medical documentation to DOL to support the claim
  • Notify the Workers’ Compensation Specialist and supervisor of time loss and work status
  • Call MCA or your bureau WCS for form filing or billing assistance
  • Comply with requests for information or other directives from DOL and maintain communication
  • Return to full or light duty when able and notify the treating physician that limited duty is available

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Support a safe work environment – Encourage safe work habits and enforce safety regulations
  • Report all injuries promptly to the Safety Officer and WCS
  • Complete all required forms in a timely manner
  • Challenge questionable claims
  • Assist and Advise Employees on their rights and Responsibilities
  • Maintain contact with the employee and monitor COP usage
  • Return to Work – Offer light or limited duty whenever possible
  • Monitor Return to work status.
