GovTA is the next iteration of the Department’s time and attendance system (webTA). GovTA is a web-based system that is used to submit work time and leave information to the Department’s payroll/personnel service provider, the National Finance Center (NFC), for salary payment. Employees use this system to enter their own biweekly time and leave data, request leave, and validate the data (called T&As) online.
Note that in some bureaus, timekeepers enter the data for the employees. Managers certify the T&As and leave requests online and then the approved T&As are sent to the NFC for salary processing. Users should bookmark the GovTA link so it’s always available: https://docgovta.commerce.gov/govta
