DOC Workers’ Compensation Program: Guidance and Policy

We hope you never get injured at work. However, if you do, the Department of Commerce (DOC) Workers’ Compensation contractor, Managed Care Advisors (MCA)/Sedgwick Government Solutions (SGS), or your Bureau Workers’ Compensation Point of Contact can assist you in filing a claim through the Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP).  This website provides general information and guidance on the various components available to injured workers under the Federal Employees Compensation Act (FECA).

If you are injured at work or while performing work-related tasks and require medical assistance, seek medical treatment first: visit your health unit, dial the emergency number for your facility, dial 911, or seek appropriate medical attention. It is important to notify your immediate supervisor of your injury as soon as possible.  If you cannot do so immediately, please have a colleague or family member contact them.
