This office also coordinates safety, ergonomics, and OSHA data management.

The Office of Building Renovation (OBR) provides oversight of the Herbert C. Hoover Building Renovation Project in partnership with the General Services Administration. The goal of the project is to create a safe, productive working environment for employees. Among its objectives is a major building systems replacement to facilitate energy efficiency, space modernization, historic preservation and new furniture, IT, audiovisual and security systems. Four phases of the renovation have been completed, with four remaining.

The Office of Personal Property and Transportation Management (OPPTM) provides policy, oversight, and strategic planning to ensure continued compliance and accountability of personal property assets and fleet management across the Department. OPPTM’s strategic goals encompass a life-cycle approach to asset management: planning, budgeting, acquisition, use management, and disposal.

The Office of Real Property Programs (ORPP) supports real property acquisition, disposal and management policies as promulgated through the Department of Commerce (DOC) Real Property Management Manual. Serving as the Department’s technical advisor, ORPP also maintains oversight and implementation of various Government-wide real property programs and initiatives including Departmental Capital Planning and the Federal Real Property Profile (FRPP) submissions.

The Office of Space and Building Management (OSBM) provides oversight of building and facility services provided to HCHB tenants and visitors through the Client Services Division, Facilities Services Division, Multimedia Division, and Space Management Division. OSBM also oversees the HCHB Safety Officer functions, facility operations of the Child Care Center and Commerce Occupational Health Organization (COHO) Fitness Center, and utility projects including electricity, steam, and water.

The Office of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Programs (OSEEP) establishes, promotes, and incentivizes a culture of sustainability across the Department to maintain sustainable, climate change adaptive and resilient, efficient, high-performing, cost-effective, and environmentally compliant operations and facilities that allow the Department and its Operating Units to meet their missions.
